Once upon a time, desks were used for writing. People would use these things called 'pencils' and they'd write in longhand, you know, making lists and doing crossword puzzles and such. Times have changed, obviously, and people work on computers now. While pencils have gone the way of the dodo bird it doesn't mean I have to like it, and it certainly doesn't mean I can't add a small pencil drawer to the underside of this beautiful oak and steel desk. And even if it did mean that, it would be too late because this desk has already been designed. And built. Too bad.
The pictured desk measure 60" long x 24" deep by 30" tall -- perfect. Tops are reclaimed oak that can be dyed any number of shades, the frames are blackened steel welded right here in our BK shop. No two trees are exactly alike and so no two tops will be exactly alike, each piece will differ in terms of color, markings and character. The good thing is that each desk is a 100% original, I bet you'll find something interesting to stash in the pencil drawer. Maybe even a pencil.
Wood is finished with poly and hand-rubbed beeswax, the steel is clear-coated to protect against future oxidization.
